QUESTION:

Can you explain how Weeklys expiration dates work?

ANSWER:
Weeklys options expire on a weekly basis. Typically, Weeklys are listed for trading on a Thursday and expire the following Friday. That gives the average Weeklys option just nine calendar days and seven trading days of life. These trading days are Thursday and Friday of the week they start trading and Monday through Friday of the week they expire.
