    A very small but mighty list with MON and WBA reporting Thursday before the open.  As always the data below is based on the last three years of earnings results unless the ticker is in italics.  The columns show the biggest rally, biggest drop, average move, and what the stock did last quarter in reaction to earnings.  Finally, double check the earnings dates as not all were confirmed.

    2" of rain and spectacular lightning meet Chicago traders on their way in from the train this morning.  Alcoa kicked off Q1 earnings season with slight disappointment.  Weekly Jobless in at 281K, FED minutes fairly dovish.  European shares up, as is Oil (~1.5%).   Masters starts today, nice to see Jack Nicklaus with a hole-in-one in yesterday's Par-3 contest, as well as Tiger's entourage.  Volatility as an asset class: Alcoa (AA) is down $0.37 to $13.31 in the preopen[...]

    Alcoa reports next week and even though the stock was booted from the Dow Jones Industrial Average a few quarters ago traditionalists (old guys like me) still consider AA earnings the beginning of earnings season.  The calendar is light next week, but hold on to your hat, things are going to get busy soon.
