Is it necessary to register with CBOE in order to enroll in a webcast?
Yes. You must register with the CBOE website in order for us to email you the event link and communicate with you during the event.

If a fee is required, will my registration payment be secure?
All payments are processed through Verisign on secured pages.

If I encounter problems while registering, whom should I contact?
Please send email to the Options Institute and we will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible. Important Note: Email is not encrypted and not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers. Please do not send any credit card data via email.

What if I register for a webcast but I can't attend - can I get a refund?
In order to get a refund, you must notify CBOE within 24 hours of the webcast event by sending an email to the Options Institute or by calling 877-THE-CBOE, press 2. No refunds will be granted, once a webcast has broadcasted.

Log-in Issues

Why do I have to enter my email address and password? I was able to view one of the other webcasts without having to enter this information?
Some of the webcasts presented here will require authentication by email address. Just enter the email address and myCBOE password that you used when you signed up for myCBOE.

I am already logged into my myCBOE account but I don't remember my username and password. How do I access that information?
If you do not remember your username and/or password and are logged into myCBOE, please go to the myCBOE tab and click on Edit Account, your username will be on that first screen. Take note of your username. If you need to retrieve your password, please log out by clicking on the Sign Out link located under the myCBOE Tab . Once you have signed out, return to the myCBOE log in page and select Forgot Password, in order to have it sent by email.

I am not currently logged into my myCBOE account and I don't remember my username and password. How can I request it?
Please visit the Forgot Password page and enter the email address attached to your myCBOE account and both your username and password will be sent to that email address.

If you do not have access to that email address, please send us an e-mail and be sure to include the email address and full name that was used when you signed up for your myCBOE account.

Webcast Content

After I complete the webcast event will I still have access to the presentation materials, for future reference?
Yes, approximately 2 weeks after a live webcast event has ended it will be archived in the Webcast Portal under Categories.

Technical Issues

Why do I hear a clicking sound during the presentation?
You may hear a clicking sound in the player each time it refreshes. The sound is a function of the default settings in the Microsoft operating system and Internet Explorer. To turn this clicking sound off, follow the instructions listed in the help section within the webcast window.

I can't register or log in to a webcast. Why?
In order to register for or view our On Demand Webcasts, you must first sign in to your myCBOE account here.

Click on "Access Webcast Events" to be taken to our Webcast Portal. To register, simply click on "Register" below the title of the webcast.

Once you've registered for an event, click on "Click Here to View Presentations". Next, click on "Launch" under the event title to view the desired webcast.

I can't see or hear the webcast. Why?
First, please view the system requirements needed to view a CBOE webcast, then test your system on our Troubleshooting page.
