Introduction

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) launched Jumbo-DJX index options based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. The Jumbo-DJX options (ticker symbol: DXL) are 1/10th the value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, but ten times larger than the DJX options contract also traded at CBOE. Like DJX options, DXL options are cash-settled.
