CBOE COMMUNITIES USER GUIDELINES

CBOE COMMUNITIES USER GUIDELINES

Welcome to the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Incorporated (CBOE) Communities. The CBOE Communities serves as a forum for CBOE customers to share ideas, ask questions and engage in discussions about CBOE?s products and services. As a community forum, it is important to establish basic ground rules to ensure a positive experience for all users. Please refer to the CBOE Communities User Agreement for more information.

These User Guidelines may be changed at any time, so it is important to review them frequently.

The following guidelines are meant to provide ground rules regarding what is expected of CBOE Communities users.

  1. Be respectful. The CBOE Communities is intended for open and honest discussion. All comments must be respectful and kind to other users of the CBOE Communities.
  2. Stay on topic. Make sure your contributions are relevant to the purpose of the CBOE Communities and to the specific forum or blog where you post. Off-topic or unproductive posts are prohibited. Advertisements or solicitations are not permitted.
  3. Keep your word. Do not post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret, or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.
  4. Protect privacy. It is inadvisable to share personal information in public posts. To share personal information (such as address or phone number) with other users, private messages are recommended. Sharing the personal information of others is strictly prohibited.
  5. Search before you post. If you are looking for an answer to a specific question, it is always advisable that users search the archives of previous messages to avoid duplication of questions and to take advantage of previous contributions from the community.
