GTH-Enabled Proprietary Opening (C1 Only)

The figures below illustrate the GTH-Enabled Proprietary class category Opening Process, which operates on a 23x5 trading schedule. Shown below is both the GTH and RTH session openings. The GTH opening is time-triggered, whereas the RTH opening is triggered by an observation of an index value after 9:30 a.m. ET. On C1 for VIX options only, the RTH opening is time-triggered at 9:30 a.m. ET. The GTH session stops at 9:25 a.m. ET, at which time orders active in the GTH book join the RTH Queuing book and participate in the RTH opening. For GTH-eligible Products, GTH Queuing begins at 8:00 p.m. ET (on prior calendar day), GTH regular trading begins at 8:15 p.m. (on prior calendar day), and the GTH session stops at 9:25 a.m. ET Monday to Friday.

RTH queuing is available beginning at the same time as GTH queuing (i.e. 8:00 p.m. ET) for all GTH-enabled proprietary options.
